Our beautiful baby boy Tobias Bruce Hugo arrived 1 month early on the 21st June 2010. He had breathing problems and was taken by ambulance to another hospital that is larger to get the help he needed.

So i am now VIABLE! wow! i cant believe I'm 24 1/2 weeks and nearly 15 weeks to go!

Bambino is moving so much and is so much stronger with its kicks. I can see it from just sitting and watching my belly when a foot/hand is pounced out, its funny. I was teasing it last night and poking at it - it then kicked back at me - Oli giggled and told me to stop teasing the baby.

I have started aqua natal and its been so lovely to meet some of the other expectant mums in the area.

Aqua natal was fantastic and just what i needed. We did some exercises, then birth preparation for water birth and then relaxation. I was so exhausted when it finished - being pregnant and exercising for an 1 1/2 hours is full on!

I have done so well weight wise - i have not put on any weight anywhere else, just my belly which is all baby and of course my boobs which are now an E cup!

So i am now just getting everything ready for hospital and birth and have started to buy things for my bags and been doing lots of reading on hypno birthing etc all my concentration is now on preparing myself for birth.

I see my OBS next week and will be 26 weeks! i cant believe that next week it will be 14 weeks to go.... its just going to fly now and i cant wait to see our little baby and have bambino in my arms to love. We are both so excited and so looking fwd to it.

Birth plan in process

So i have had a midwife come and talk to me last week. She was so lovely and spoke perfect english - she worked in Sydney for 4 years.

As things are so far going well for me (it could all change later) we are hoping to go with a water birth we are also doing hypno birthing. They dont have pain relief like we do back home and so therefore we hope to go pain medication free (will let you know if i can do it or not!)

I have also been told by many people that i am in one of the best countries to have a baby even better than back home! One thing for sure is that they allow you to stay in hospital a lot longer than back home, which i am going to take full advantage off and rest and heal my body (ive been told by a lot of people not to rush home). They keep you in for up to 5 -6 days, so we will tell family and friends to visit us at the hospital to see baby as we hope to not have anyone come to house - just for a few weeks.

Everything is going well and we are pretty organised. We are going to buy a new car so we can fit everything in.

I start water classes soon and even have my fat bathers!! and we will also do prenatal plus a hypno class.

Pregnancy cravings and another holiday plan!

I have been having terrible cravings!

Lately it has been mushrooms and lemon juice! i had a banana crave and a spinach crave not so long ago. Sadly chocolate and anything sugary i don't even like!

Other than cravings i am busily organising a holiday for after baby is born for possible October or November - so far I'm eyeing Santorini, Jordan and Egypt. We feel like a holiday as we haven't been anywhere since we went to Spain and we would love to go away with baby and take baby on its first overseas trip.

Will keep you posted!

Finally i have taken pictures of the scan at 14 weeks. It was quiet hard to photograph esp since the scan pics are very small

On one print it has a few scans all on one, the scan of little 'bambino's' brain, its legs and arms and a side profile. Again this was an internal scan so Dr said that my next scan at 20 weeks will not be an internal so hope we will get a clearer picture of baby but i am still looking into a 4d scan.

Scan went well and baby was kicking its little arms and legs around - all looking good.

I go back in 5 weeks for my next scan and i think i might book in for a 4d scan!

We have bought our cot - sooo cute! and have also stocked up on baby winter items as they are on sale.

We are looking at what hospital we like and at the moment we are looking at Hôpital Daler in Fribourg as thats where my gyn/obs deliver's and i really like him as he speakes perfect english! Its a private hospital and looks quiet good. We will now enrol for antenatal classes and i will also register in a Vocal prenatal therapy course.

Christmas and New Year 2009

I didn't take many pictures as i was bedridden with morning sickness for Christmas and New Year - it was such a blur - i do remember i made a great friend with a white porcelain bowl. I think everybody else did have a blast from what i heard on the bathroom floor or in bed. Lots of alcohol consumed of course.

We have had lots of snow, mum and my cousin Kerry did build a strange looking snowman that had no arms in the front garden - but it is now looking like a giant pyramid due to the amount of snow we have had.

Mum and dad left on Saturday and will spend a few days in Singapore and then will continue home. I think dad is looking fwd to get away from the cold.

OK so here they are the 'Bump' Pictures.

My early symptoms was just bloating - this bloating feeling never left and it was driving me crazy. So i googled bloating and pregnancy and did a little reading. Still not convinced that 'i could be' so waited a bit longer and the bloat still didn't disappear - it was then i decided to do a test. That was at week 4.

Pictures start at Week 5 - when i thought i was 'just' bloated and that it will go down soon - but it never did and i just grew bigger!

Early December 2009 we had our first scan of 'bambino' it was exciting to see and just out of this world to hear the heartbeat! i will never forget the strong 'woosh woosh' sound.

I have such a Lovely Dr he is in his early 60's (relieved to have a Dr with exeperience) and he speaks perfect English as he worked and lived in Canada for 20 years.
